What we do with data

What we know about you

• Email: for sign-in, listing confirmation and message alerts.
• The name you choose, and optionally a profile photo.
• A phone, if you add one. We store it encrypted and only show it where you allow it.
• Town and region on a listing. We never store an exact address or GPS.
• The content of listings, messages and reviews.
• A shortened, hashed IP record when a phone is revealed, to stop contact scraping.

What we do with it

We run a marketplace: we show listings, deliver messages and watch for spam and scams. If you order an optional service, we process the payment through the payment gateway. We don’t sell your data or send it to ad networks.

Photos and metadata

Every uploaded photo is converted to WebP and we strip EXIF, including GPS coordinates that phones often store. We don’t publish the original file.

How long we keep it

• Active listing: 60 days, then it expires (you can extend for free).
• Sold listings: 14 days public, then archive.
• Unfinished draft listings: 7 days.
• Phone-reveal records: 90 days.
• Chat history: until one side deletes it by deleting their account.

Processors

The database and files run on Supabase, emails are sent by Resend, payments are handled by Comgate, hosting is Vercel. Content checks are done by Anthropic’s Claude; we send it the listing text and downsized photos, never your contact details.

Your rights

You can download or delete your data anytime. Account deletion is in settings: personal data and listings disappear, the other side keeps chat history signed as “Deleted user”. For anything else, write to us on the contact page.
